Our Homeschool Journey has finally began!

It's been over a year now of planning for our first official year of homeschool and boy has it had it's overwhelming mix of emotions! Our classroom has been set up, well forever, but I'm still constantly adding and changing things around. Decorating our classroom was one of the first things I started with and Kirby looked at me and said, you're doing that already? Well honey, a year later and I'm still working on it, yes I started it already. :)

This weekend, the enemy truly began to toy with my head about my decision. The reality of it all starting was really beginning to hit me hard. I know that this will happen often as he tends to do that quite well with those who are following God's calling, but I know and believe that God has definitely called us to this and I know that He will take care of every detail.

The purpose of this blog is first and foremost, for me :). I need a place to "remember" why I'm doing what I'm doing. I also love to scrapbook, but I've not had time since I've had kids to do it and I'm definitely not adding on any more time now so yah, it's not happening. So, here's my next choice. Here is what I consider to be my "journal/scrapbook" of our "journey".

I've also created this blog as a way for Kirby, family and friends (or whomever chooses to) to be able to follow along with our homeschool journey. It allows Kirby to be able to "check in" and see what we are up to. It will be a great conversation starter for him and the boys to discuss our recent activities.

So, enjoy! I'm not much of a writer. I'm pretty much to the point and not really funny. So I apologize now for that lack of "creativity" in my posts, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

Make sure to check out Our Vision and FAQ. I'll be updating some pictures of our classroom and first day on the site soon. (Once I figure how to do it. LOL.) It truly was a success, crabby attitudes (in the beginning) and all and we can't wait to begin tomorrow!!
